IPL 2018 Highest Score

The 11th edition of the Indian Premier League starts on April 4 and will continue till May 31, 2018. The first match is between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium. It is a repeat of the 2011 final that CSK won to lift the IPL Trophy for the very first time. They won it the next year too and are the only team to have won the title twice on the trot. Mumbai Indians may not have won it back to back but they have since pipped CSK’s tally to become the most successful team in the IPL with three titles. Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner had won the Orange Cap last season for his tally of 641 runs while the Purple Cap was won by Bhuvneshwar Kumar with a whopping 26 wickets. Suresh Raina, who is the all-time highest run scorer in the IPL, recently came back to form in the Nidahas Trophy and will be looking to make a mark on his return to the Chennai Super Kings.

Hyderabad’s Kane Williamson is the tournament’s leading run scorer with 735 runs from 17 matches. Here are the top five run-scorers in the 2018 Indian Premier League season.
